MOPCO Hopes To Restart Fertilizer Plant

The Misr Oil Processing Company (MOPCO) is hoping to restart operations at its 765,000 tons/year Damietta fertilizer plant. MOPCO was ordered to stop operating the urea and ammonia facilities in November last year by Egypt’s interim ruling body, the military council, after protests became violent, killing one person, and injuring another 10.
