Khartoum To Impose Fees On Oil Flowing From South Sudan

Sudan is set to begin imposing monthly fees on crude oil flowing from the newly-formed South Sudan until the two sides reach an agreement on an acceptable transit fee to be paid by the South for its use of the oil infrastructure in the North, Sudan’s President 'Umar al-Bashir said on 4 January.
