Noble Makes Major Gas Find Off Cyprus, Government Readies Licensing Round

Noble Energy on 28 December announced that it had discovered 7 tcf of natural gas in Block 12 offshore Cyprus. The statement, issued from the company’s headquarters in Houston, coincided with an announcement of the find in Nicosia by Cypriot President Demetris Christofias, who called the discovery “historic.” Gary Lakes reports.
