EGPC Extends Bidding Round Deadline To End-March

The Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) on 22 December announced that it would extend a licensing round opened in September until 29 March 2012. The licensing round, which tendered 15 blocks in the Gulf of Suez, Eastern Desert, Western Desert and the Sinai, had originally been scheduled to close on 30 January 2012 (MEES, 3 October).
