Kazakhstan’s Deputy Minister of Oil and Gas Lyazzat Kiinov told delegates at the World Petroleum Congress in Doha on 7 December that Phase 2 of the Kashagan oil field development is expected to raise production capacity to 1mn b/d and “will be completed by 2018 or 2019.”
