Petroleum Minister Says Sanctions Forced Syria To Reduce Output

Syrian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Sufian 'Alaw told the London daily al-Hayat of 1 November that Syrian oil production had fallen from an average of 380,000 b/d to between 250,000-270,000 b/d as a result of US and EU sanctions imposed on Syrian oil exports.
