China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) has won a bid to develop 3 blocks in Afghanistan’s Amu Draya Basin, beating off competition from Tethy’s petroleum, Shazhad International and Buccaneer Energy, media sources in Hong Kong reported yesterday.
