Leaked Document Sheds Light On Libyan Investments

The total assets managed by the Libyan Investment Authority (LIA) climbed to $64bn from $54bn between June and September last year, and during this time over $1bn was deposited with HSBC, according to internal documents leaked to campaign group Global Witness. The Management Information Report dated 30 September 2010 also includes a damning assessment of the performance of six funds with which LIA had invested $1.7bn.
