IEA Governors Urge Crude Producers To Increase Supply

The Governing Board of the Paris-based International Energy Agency (IEA) issued a statement on 19 May expressing its concern over the impact that rising crude oil prices are having on the global economic recovery and urging crude producing countries to increase output. The board said it had “examined oil market developments and their impact on the global economy” at its regular quarterly meeting on 18-19 May.
