South Sudan Set To Buy Back Old Currency After Independence

The Central Bank of Southern Sudan announced on 7 May that its plans to redeem all pounds circulating in the region once a new currency is decided upon and issued for the soon-to-be independent state as it tries to arrest a potential currency slide in the oil-rich south.
