The Interconnector Turkey-Greece Italy (ITGI) project remains a strong candidate for winning the ongoing tendering process for the 10 bcm/year of gas which would become available after 2016-17 from Phase 2 of the Shah Deniz project, Greece’s Junior Energy Minister Yannis Maniatis said on 11 April at an Institute of Energy for South East Europe conference in Athens.
