China’s Crude Oil Imports Rise To 21.26Mn Tons In December, 203.7Mn Tons For 2009

China’s crude oil imports for December totaled 21.26mn tons, a daily average of 5.01mn b/d for the month, according to data released by China’s General Administration for Customs. The figure is 24% above November crude imports of 17.12mn tons. China’s crude oil imports for 2009 totaled 203.7mn tons (4.07mn b/d) compared with 178.9mn tons (3.58mn b/d) in 2008. China’s main source of crude imports last year was Saudi Arabia (41.86mn tons), followed by Angola (32.17mn tons), Iran (23.15mn tons), Russia (15.30mn tons) and Sudan (12.19mn tons).
